Keeping Pets With Their Families Through Adoption & Intervention Counseling

Adoption Counseling

We are here to help you and your new fur baby find your footing. Bringing home a rescue animal can come with all sorts of new experiences and a fair share of obstacles. Our team of staff and volunteers are available to help you understand and navigate the world of owning a rescue pet. We will walk you through the decompression stage, provide you with recommendations for vet care and training services, and make sure you have the tools necessary to build a strong and lasting bond with your new best friend.

Intervention Counseling

Our ultimate goal is not only to get animals into loving homes, but to help make sure they remain there. Many of us have faced hardships in our lives that have caused us to have to make difficult decisions. For some, that decision is whether or not they are able to keep their beloved pet or surrender them to a shelter. At Ollie’s Angels, we strive to keep families together by providing intervention counseling and resources to those whose circumstances have led them to make the decision to surrender their pet. There is no judgement here. We understand that sometimes life throws unexpected obstacles in your way that you may need some extra help to navigate. We are here to help by providing you with the advice and resources you need to overcome financial, medical, behavioral, and even legal barriers that may be getting in the way of you keeping your beloved pet.

Funding For Homeless Animals.

Ollie’s Angels will offer funding to shelters in order to help cover the costs of things like:

  • Transportation to out-of-state adopters or rescues

  • Medical procedures and medication needed to help homeless animals recover from injury or illness

  • Training to help shelter dogs get a jump start on basic obedience, leash skills, and socialization

  • Food, supplies, toys, etc. that are needed to make these animals’ time in the shelter as comfortable as possible

We will also provide funding to pet owners who are facing financial hardships and need a little help in order to keep their pets, rather than surrendering them to a shelter.
